What is Nigori Sake?

Nigori (にごり) means "cloudy" in Japanese. Unlike most sake which is filtered clear, nigori sake is only coarsely filtered, leaving rice sediment suspended in the liquid. This creates a creamy, milky appearance and a richer, more textured drinking experience. KUNCHO Nigori takes this further by being undiluted (genshu), resulting in a powerful 20% alcohol content and intensified flavors.
